The world of medicine is like a bubble. A lot of people THINK they know what goes on there, but unless you're down in the trenches it's unlikely you do. So here is my semi-anonymous blog, here to tell you what really goes on in the life of a medical resident.

You have a pretty good director there. Glad to hear you're going to be getting out of that "educational" rotation.

Good decision to get out and I am glad it worked out. NOTHING is worth the people in your life that you love, your own emotional health and your sanity. I also just learned this the hard way. These lessons hurt, but I am glad you escaped before permanent damage!

HOORAY!

I'm so SO glad!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! In my experience, I was hyper-worried and overwhelmed about money and the future and a lot of that passed once I popped out the kidlet. And it all worked out fine.

Hang in there -- you're doing an amazing job of trying to balance hard and extremely strenuous work and being pregnant and moonlighting and everything!
